Psychology for women who are exhausted from coping.
Evidence-based psychology for high-functioning women experiencing anxiety, burnout, ADHD and emotional overload.
You’re functioning on the outside — but internally, everything feels harder than it should.
You’re still getting things done.
You’re showing up to work, replying to messages, looking after people, managing responsibilities, and holding everything together.
But underneath it all, you feel emotionally exhausted.
Your brain rarely switches off. Small things feel harder than they used to. You’re mentally overloaded, emotionally stretched, and quietly wondering why coping takes so much effort.
Many women I support describe:
constant overthinking
emotional exhaustion despite functioning highly
burnout and chronic stress
overwhelm from carrying too much for too long
increased anxiety or irritability
brain fog or cognitive overload
difficulty slowing down or resting
wondering whether ADHD may be contributing
For many women, these experiences build gradually over time and become more noticeable during periods of stress, caregiving, hormonal transition, career pressure, or major life change.

Adult ADHD Assessment & Support
Many women reach adulthood feeling overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, disorganised, or constantly behind without fully understanding why.
ADHD in women may go unrecognised, particularly in women who appear highly capable externally.
Comprehensive, evidence-based ADHD assessments tailored to the way ADHD commonly presents in women.
About Anna Kelm, Founder
I work with women who are used to pushing through.
The women who keep showing up. Keep functioning. Keep caring for everyone else.
Even when internally they feel anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or like they’re barely keeping up.
Before transitioning into psychology, I spent more than a decade supporting clients across nutrition, wellness, coaching and behaviour change. That background shaped a broader understanding of the relationship between stress, lifestyle, sleep, nervous system regulation, physical wellbeing, and emotional health.
My approach is warm, practical, collaborative, and evidence-based, with a particular interest in supporting women navigating anxiety, burnout, ADHD-related challenges, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions.
A More Connected Approach
Women are often left trying to piece support together from different places.
Stress gets treated separately from sleep. Hormonal changes get treated separately from emotional wellbeing. ADHD may go unrecognised entirely.
At Axis Within Psychology, the focus is on understanding the bigger picture rather than viewing each challenge in isolation.
Therapy draws from evidence-based approaches tailored to the individual needs and goals of each client, with support designed to feel practical, collaborative, and sustainable.
